Service Electric Co., Inc. was founded in Bismarck, North Dakota during the
Depression year of 1933 by John B. Kottsick, grandfather of present co-owner Todd
A. Kottsick. The company moved to Seattle during the war year of 1944. Present owners
Mel A. Buttrum and Todd A. Kottsick assumed control of the business in 1994. Mr.
Kottsick and Mr. Buttrum have over 50 years of combined construction experience.
